About this role:
Leading international,upstream oil & gas exploration and production company.

input to the corporate IT functions in the formulation and implementation of
the IT functional strategy and plans that meet the business needs and
objectives of the Company;
Manage the effective achievement of IT objectives through the leadership of the
IT unit – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and
motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in
order to promote team work and performance of the IT unit;
Provide input for IT Budget and monitor work plan performance to ensure
operational and project expenditure within approved budgets. Areas of IT
services improvement are identified to ensure performance improvement and
opportunities put in plan. Prepare annual IT WPB for Business, in collaboration
with other internal units, and seek regional/corporate IT management
endorsement to be in-line with Company strategy. Identify and drive cost
optimization opportunities;
Lead the development and implementation of business processes by establishing
communication with business users to understand current and future business
operational needs, and ensure all requests are fully documented;
Prioritize planned and unplanned service requests based on business priorities,
to ensure timely resolution of IT requests and issues;
Assess potential threats & risks and ensure Company-wide policies and
procedures are developed and implemented in order to establish an effective controls
for IT assets protection from external or internal threats, prevent loss of
confidential information and ensure continuous availability of business

critical IT systems;
Establish and review the security profiles and access management in order to
ensure that appropriate security access measures are in place and system
defense is built with highly secure network and data protection;
Recommend, provide input and implement policy. Develop procedures, controls and
systems covering all areas of IT activities to ensure procedural and
legislative requirements are fulfilled whilst delivering a quality and
cost-effective service;
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of IT systems, processes and
practices taking into account of ‘Industry Best Practices’, business
process improvement initiative and cost optimization through productivity
Lead the selection and management of vendors and third-party service providers
to meet the Company’s operational needs in accordance to company policies and
Implement effective Contract Management as per MP policies and procedures;Lead and drive IT team to ensure that all major applications, network and
hardware systems are operated and maintained cost effectively to meet agreed
service levels and standards;
Oversee the preparation of periodical system performance, availability
and project progress reports. Review and provide regular status update for
overall system performance and IT operations status;
Provide technical advice for a secure IT infrastructure system to meet business
expansion requirement for Project and Production Operation;
Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management
procedures and controls within IT function for employee safety and legislative

What you need to bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
10 years of related IT experiences with at least 8 years in leading an IT team;
5 years in the upstream oil and gas sector.
