Job Description:
1. DEPUTY TEAM LEAD, COMMERCIAL & COMPLIANCE

Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide advisory work to SME businesses either on a retainer or an ad hoc basis pertaining to areas such as:
– Start up a business;
– Tenancy and leasing;
– Employment;
– Merger and acquisition;
– Business agreement;
– Risk management; and
– E-commerce.
2. To automate advisory and agreements using legal technology platform;
3. To engage with regulatory authorities such as MITI and MDEC on matters relating to compliance, licences, grants and incentives;
4. To identify risk and craft solutions for SME clients to optimise their business goal and reduce compliance risks;
5. To provide legal retainer services to in-house legal teams by reviewing and advising on documents, agreements and matters arising commercial contracts;
6. To coordinate with business development team of the Firm in engaging with SME clients; and
7. To assist the Team Lead and Head of Department in management and building the capacity of the Commercial and Compliance team.

2. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Key Responsibilities:
These roles are responsible for the management of all aspects of business development and supports business development initiatives within the Firm, in particular to undertake the following:

Branding
1. To work closely with all departments in initiating, coordinating, and implementing HHQ’s business development plans.
2. To increase the visibility of HHQ’s brand & its services. For reference, HHQ has undertaken the following soft approaches:
• Produce newsletters and solid marketing collateral materials;
• Conduct client surveys and respond to client feedback;
Network and build relationship by lawyers;
• Update the Firm’s social media with infographics/videos;
• Arrange for webinars / seminars (briefings (planning, marketing communications, logistics);
• Participating in public seminars/talks/research efforts.
3. Plan and execute initiatives to reach the potential clients through appropriate channels.
4. To revive lawyers’ profile on HHQ’s website.
5. To submit for legal awards/accolades which can enhance HHQ’s Brand.
6. To devise specifically requested sharing sessions for clients.

Content Marketing
1. To coordinate and contribute on the editorial committee of the Firm’s newsletter – “Empower”.
2. To maintain websites, looking at data analytics, updating databases and engage with clients through social media.
3. To organize webinar and activities to share legal updates and knowledge with clients.
4. To write and proofread creative copy.
5. Coordinating internal marketing and Firm’s culture.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. DEPUTY TEAM LEAD, COMMERCIAL & COMPLIANCE
Key Requirements:
• Candidate ought to have at least 4 – 7 years of experience as a practicing lawyer and/or in-house counsel in a corporate organisation.
• Possesses practical knowledge of cross border corporate and commercial laws.
• A personality with courage, optimistic and high social proficiency skill will be an added advantage.
• Able to read and write and present in Chinese language will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently with high degree of professionalism and integrity.

2. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Key Requirements:
• Minimum qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development consists of branding, marketing communications, content marketing or related field.
• Strong communication skills, flexible and IT fluency.
• Excellent organizational skills and business analysis/research capabilities.
• Experience with managing financial budgets.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
• Good to have legal background.
• Fluent written and advanced spoken in English and Chinese required.
