Technical Support Engineer – Kuala Lumpur – Stampede Solution Sdn Bhd

 Ensure that companyâ™s computer systems are kept as reliable and efficient as possible.
 Liaise with external suppliers for the repair of equipment under warranty or maintenance contract.
 Provide troubleshooting resolution and updating/upgrading of hardware to customers.
Install, configure and deploy computer hardware, operating systems, applications and networks for internal users as well as clients.

Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure network functionality and availability to all system users.
Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance upgrades.
Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
Maintain local and server based firewall and anti-virus software.
Provide procurement assistance including, but not limited to, researching solutions, engaging with potential vendors, making recommendations for product purchases and evaluating bids.
Test and evaluate new equipment and applications and provide thorough feedback.
Work directly with vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance.
Work with vendors and vendor supplied systems to track service requests through to completion.
Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults.

Research, identify and implement security solutions as well as perform computer and network security vulnerability assessments and scans to identify, evaluate and mitigate security risks, threats and vulnerabilities.

Develop and execute the internal compliance testing program, including the risk assessment, internal IT compliance reviews, and remediation testing of issues identified.

Analyst test results, report review observations and ensure acceptable solutions are developed to mitigate risks.

Create and maintain inventory, which may include hardware and software.
Prepare and issue quotation to clients for hardware and software orders.
Place orders for hardware, servers, operating system licences, etc.

Maintain records of software licences.
 College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
 Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
 Knowledge of network technologies and Windows clients
 Solid communication
